Corbyn Signals ‘Early’ Confidence Vote

Aug.06 — Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn is hardening plans to block a no-deal Brexit. He signaled he’d call a confidence vote in the prime minister when parliament returns in September. If that happens and Johnson loses, he has until September 18 to show he can command a majority in the House of Commons. Then the following day is the last date to trigger a general election before the October 31st Brexit deadline. Bloomberg’s Stuart Biggs reports on “Bloomberg Markets: European Open.”
